PAUL FRIDAY LUCKY 13 COMING SOON!!!

At High Country Orchards we are continually planting and experimenting with new varieties of fruit to remain on the cutting edge of the fresh fruit growing industry. In the spring of 2008 we will be planting a new variety of early harvest peaches called the Paul Friday Lucky 13.

PF Lucky 13 released in 2004. In our search for the perfect peach, the PF Lucky 13 is one of the best candidates. We expect the PF Lucky 13 to rapidly become one of our most popular peach varieties. The PF Lucky 13 variety ripens one week after Redhaven, it has always had huge yields of very classy, large (2 3/4" and bigger), extremely firm peaches. Very freestone. This peach remains on the tree more than 10 days after one might think it should be picked. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger remaining very firm. The fruit from this variety is No. 1 quality. The tree is spreading, and very productive. This variety showed very hardy characteristics where peach trees encounter temperatures down to 18 degrees below zero F. PF Lucky 13 is the only peach that you can pick off the tree and roll in the box without sorting. They are a beautiful, radiant colored peach that sell themselves.
