Perhaps one of the most attractive peaches in appearance, the Topaz peach also has a very aromatic smell when it ripens. The trees often bud early due to its low requirement for cool temperatures in the winter. This early blossoming sometimes leads to crop damage from frost and freeze. However, once the risk of frost passes, this peach is well worth the risk. Its qualities make it one of the most coveted varieties to consumers with its picture perfect appearance, wonderful aromatic smell, and its heavenly sweet taste. It is a freestone peach as well.
